April 1, 2021 - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention today affirmed studies that receiving a COVID-19 vaccine can make your diamonds glow brighter. The CDC released the results of the study that followed 8,000 women who regularly wore rings with .50 ct. and larger diamonds.
Women who received the placebo vaccine saw their diamonds' brightness improve a modest 2%, but women who received the real vaccine saw their diamonds increase 73% in brightness. 30% of those women also saw their diamonds improve one or more grades in color.
"Whether you're looking to buy a diamond or you already have one, the science says that the vaccine can improve your mojo which in turn enhances your diamond's light performance," said Dr. Sydney Nusinov, chief epidiamondologist at the CDC.
As an unexpected benefit, women receiving the vaccine also saw a 53% rise in compliments. "People who have never even met me before are asking if I got younger or lost weight," one woman said.
